Implant Restoration

If you have been hiding your smile because of missing teeth, implant restoration may be the perfect solution for you. Dental implants are the next best thing to your original teeth. They look, feel and function so incredibly natural, that you won’t even notice they are there. Isn’t it time you restored your confident, youthful smile?

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are titanium rods we place in the jawbone to replace natural tooth roots, providing a solid base for supporting one or more artificial teeth called crowns. Abutments are connectors set on your implants to hold your replacement teeth in place. Your new restorations will enhance your quality of life and restore your natural smile!

What Are the Benefits of Dental Implants?

Dental implants are the choice way of replacing missing teeth today. They provide the needed stability to eat the foods you love without struggling to chew. You will enjoy improved appearance, speech, comfort, and oral health.

Gaps left by missing teeth allow nearby teeth to shift in the space, potentially affecting your bite and causing many problems. Additionally, the jawbone begins to deteriorate and reabsorb. Dental implants are the only restorations that act just like your natural tooth roots do, protecting nearby teeth, and preserving your bone.

Your implants will help retain your natural facial structure and prevent a sagging and sunken appearance. They are very durable, with the potential of lasting a lifetime with care.

Are You A Good Candidate?

The best candidates for implants are those in good oral and overall health, and those with healthy gums and an adequate bone mass to support the implant. Not having sufficient bone mass does not necessarily exclude you as a candidate. There are options available to you including bone grafting to ensure the success of implantation.

Dental Implant Procedure

We will first place a titanium rod into your jawbone. The surrounding bone will require several months to heal and bond with your implant in a process called osseointegration. After healing, we will place an abutment, which is a connector we use to attach your crown or prosthetic tooth to the implant. After your soft tissue heals, we will make an impression of your mouth to construct your dental crown. If restoring multiple teeth, you may need implant-supported bridges or dentures.

The entire process to receive your new implants will likely take several months, most of which involves waiting for healing. During the waiting period, we may provide you with temporary restorations so that you don’t have to go without teeth a single day.
